Visa & Travel

1.  When Should I plan to arrive?
You should plan to arrive about a week or more before a  term. You should apply for the visa about four weeks before your departure date.

2.  Should I apply for a tourist or work visa from the Yemeni embassy?
You may request a student visa if you are studying Arabic or a 3-month tourist visa. We will then extend your visa as necessary after your arrival. You may apply for a normal 3-month tourist visa, and we can provide a letter of support in this regard.

3.  Is it possible to find low-cost R/T airfare from Yemen ?
Yes, we can usually find far cheaper airfare from Yemen than you can from the U.S. or Europe and then mail the ticket by FedEx.

4.  Since the $1500 total (for 10 weeks) includes the cost of the visa, how do I get the visa? For example, do I send my passport to the Yemeni Embassy in Washington, D.C. and you cover the cost? Since I cannot get the visa without copies of the airplane tickets, what is the process?

Once you sign the registration form, we send you a letter to the embassy. Then you mail the passport and they return it. We will give the contact name at the embassy. The costs are reimbursed once you arrive.
