Where is the guesthouse located?
Both school and guesthouse are located near each other and are
on Djibouti St. off Hadda road in the Diplomatic Quarter of
Sana'a.
2. What is the MALI guesthouse like? Is it shared
bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom? Is it furnished?
The guesthouse is shared. You have your own room but share the
kitchen and living area. It's a 2-minute walk from the
institute, and there's plenty of cheap transport.

Does accommodation take place in a host family, residence hall,
hotel? With other students?
With other students. There are usually 3 students to a
guesthouse.
4.
Does the 10-week cost of $1,500 include room and board?
The cost includes: Visa, Airport Shuttle, Accommodation,
Tuition, 2 field trips, and Medical Tests (HIV).
5. Where do the medical tests (HIV) take place?
At a Private Clinic which is very safe.
6.
Where do the two field trips (included in the $ total) take
place?
Wadi Dhahr (traditional wedding) and Shibam / Kawkaban which is
a very old city northwest of Sana'a.
7.
Where do students eat? Do they
prepare their own food? Does the guesthouse include a kitchen
with utensils? Is $250/month sufficient for food, toiletries,
and sightseeing?
You can eat at any of the fast food places all around MALI or
you can make your own; you have a fully equipped kitchen. $250
is enough unless you want to travel extensively in which case
you need to budget much more.
