The Modern
American Language Institute is Yemen’s
largest language institute. The Arabic
Program (MALI
- AP) is located both in Sana'a, the
capital city of Yemen, and Aden in South
Yemen.
MALI
- AP, founded with the authorization of
the Yemeni Ministry of Education and
working closely with the University of
Sana'a (internationally accredited),
teaches Arabic as a foreign language to
adults.
We offer
intensive courses in Modern Standard
Arabic, Colloquial Yemeni Arabic, Arabic
Calligraphy and other programs tailored to
specific needs.
Our programs
are year-round and very flexible. Also
included in the programs are field trips
to various places and to historical,
cultural and architectural sites.
Arrangements are also made by the
institute for students to attend several
events, such as traditional weddings and
Qat chews with politicians and historians.
Because
of MALI’s unique position as the largest
language institute in the country, ample
opportunity is provided for non-Arab
students to get to know Yemenis of a
wide-range of backgrounds, to practice
their language skills and to get to know
the culture and society up-close
